The Villages

Kaylee and I were lucky enough to be able to spend a week in The Villages with Justin's parents. We spent time at the pool, saw a couple movies, and got caught in the rain...a couple times. It was such a nice, relaxing week. No schedules, no volleyball...just hanging out with Grandma & Grandpa.

Pool Time!

We headed to the Farmers Market at the new Town Square and
the storms started to roll in....quickly!

We got a little wet!

Kaylee's annual picture by "her" sign. I need to pull out the picture
from the first year we did this and see just how much she has grown.

We had lunch with Grandma at Johnny Rockets, one of Kaylee's favorite
places. Of course it was raining when we came out.

Grandma & Grandpa took us outside of The Villages to check out Gator Joe's for lunch.
It was a really cool place, right on a lake...on the beach.  The food was good...and the
atmosphere was really neat!  Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for taking us!

Kaylee and I had to go to Peachwave one more time for
frozen yogurt the night before we left to come home.

Starbucks at the airport...it was an early morning.
And we were sad to be leaving...

Siesta Key Beach

Mariah had to catch her plane home in the evening, but we wanted to spend a little time at the beach. We heard that Siesta Key Beach has awesome powder white sand that doesn't get hot. So, we drove a little further to get to that beach. It was great! The sand almost felt like "Moon Sand". We only had a couple hours to spend there, before heading to the airport to drop Mariah off, but it was worth the drive. We had fun. Then we dropped Mariah off at the airport and Kaylee and I headed to The Villages to spend a week with Justin's parents.

My girls and me on the beach.

A little cloudy, but with temps in the 90's the clouds were a welcome site.

Magic Kingdom

We celebrated Mariah's birthday and the end of the volleyball season by spending the day at Magic Kingdom. Grandma, Tracy and Natalie went with us. This was Natalie's first time at Disney, she loved it!

Natalie is ready to go!

Natalie's first ride - It's A Small World

Mariah was so happy to see Captain Jack.
She could have stayed and watched him all day.

All sweaty, but we had to take a group picture with Mickey Mouse.

Kaylee was excited to go on Space Mountain for the first time.
I think she said that it was "fun" 100 times after she got off!

Volleyball Nationals

We were so excited to fly down to Florida for Nationals!  We have spent many hours driving to other tournaments, so it was nice to fly this time. We left on Tuesday June 18th and they started playing on Wednesday. Our first stop on Wednesday was at Cafe Tu Tu Tango for Team Lunch. The girls ate Alligator and other new and interesting foods. Coach Kate wanted them to broaden their horizons. Surprisingly, they all liked what they had! It was a fun lunch - Secret Santa gifts, Coach's Gifts, and lots of laughs!

The girls played pretty well and had a lot of fun. They finished 13th which was really good!

Ready to take off!

Mariah settled in real quick.

Ready to play!

Father's Day

We had a fun BBQ over at Christy & Tavis' house. It was so nice that Grandma could come for the day, too.

Simon showed off his archery skills!

Eli is so sweet...

Simon put special stickers on the envelope for Grandpa's card...

and Uncle Doh-Doh's card, too!

Mariah did Kaylee's hair before the party,
but her hair doesn't like to hold curls... she still
looked cute, though :)

Youth Classic - McCook, IL

We headed down to Illinois to McCook, IL for our last tournament before Nationals. The girls played pretty well on Saturday, lost one match and had to play the #1 seeded team first thing in the morning. They stepped up to the plate and played AWESOME! It was so great to watch!

We had a pizza party at the hotel on Saturday night.
Coach Kate brought a big cookie for the girls! Yum!

Secret handshake with Dru.

Champions!
