Nashville - Ladies Trip!

Our family put together a trip to Nashville, just for the ladies! We had 12 ladies on the trip and it was a BLAST! We found a house online to rent that had tons of room - it was huge, had an awesome pool and hot tub and we were in Brentwood, across the street from a neighborhood where Carrie Underwood has a house and Miranda Lambert/Blake Shelton. So cool! We are calling this Werner Women Weekend and hope to make it an annual trip. We had t-shirts made and our "call tag" is www.2015@nashville.tn. We will change it each year based on the year and where we end up going. We are so lucky to have family and friends who get along so well and enjoy spending time together.

Day 1: Thursday

My cousin Diane and her friend Hollie made
"Flats" of each of us for our adventures. It was
so fun to take pics of the flats. These flats were
hungry while traveling - eating chips and
drinking Diet Coke.

We were up early and on the road by 4am.

We were stuck in quite a traffic jam because this
tractor trailer was on fire. We later found out that
it had been full of chickens!

Our house for the weekend!

Master bathroom (Amanda & I shared this)

Media room downstairs

Master bedroom (mine & Amanda's room)

The pool! Our favorite place to hang out!

All dressed up and ready to go out on the town...

One of our pit stops while on the Pedal Tavern - so fun!

Day 2: Friday

We headed to the Escape Game on Friday and it was
so fun! We were locked in a room that was set up like
a kindergarten classroom and we had to solve multiple
puzzles to figure out the code to get the door unlocked.
We had one hour to finish and we finished with
12 minutes to spare! We were awesome!

After the Escape Game, we headed to lunch and then
back to the house to get ready to get ready for a
night on the town...

Day 3: Saturday

On Saturday, a couple of us got up early to go to the
Loveless Cafe. The breakfast was good and there were
little shops on the grounds there. Very cute!

After breakfast, we headed back to the house, hung out
by the pool for a little while, then headed downtown
for some shopping....

The Flats are chillin' by the pool...

Day 4: Sunday

It was sad that Sunday came so quickly and
we had to head home. We definitely want to
do this again next year. Hopefully we can get
even more ladies to join us!

We were the last car, following the other two
cars and all of a sudden the first two cars pull
off at a rest stop and we are in the left lane -
couldn't get over in time, so we just headed
home on our own. The flats were looking
out the window to try to find their friends that
ditched them...so sad!

Flat Gail was enjoying country music on the
way home. (My Mom hates country music!)

Parent Appreciation Mass

St Mary's has a Parent Appreciation Mass each year where the 8th graders and their parents enjoy a mass together and the kids give their parents a letter that they write just for us. It is really an awesome night!

Power League #4

Back at the Power League. We finally made it into the morning wave! As long as we keep winning, we will stay in the morning....

Sam's Basketball

We got up early and headed to Stoughton to watch Kaylee's boyfriend Sam play basketball. Christy and Simon came along - Simon considers Sam like his big brother. He really looks up to him and Sam treats him very well. It is so cute!

We were up and on the road early...

JVA World Challenge - Louisville

We headed to Louisville for our big three-day tournament down there. We took Ashley with us and Grandma was along for the ride, too. We got down there late afternoon on Wednesday and headed out to get dinner. Well....that didn't go as planned. We were rear-ended and were a little shook-up. No one was hurt, but the van had some damage on the back end. The rear lift-gate would not open and the warning bell dinged constantly. That was a lot of fun. At least the van was driveable and the other drive did have insurance.

I had planned a photo scavenger hunt and the girls split into groups and had to take pictures of themselves doing all kinds of things. It was lots of fun and I was amazed that they finished just about all of the things on the list!
