Another Tryout...in Chicago

Kaylee and Ashley decided to try out for the USAV High Performance camps in Chicago. USAV hosts tryouts all across the country and then they choose a limited number of girls from all of those tryouts. It is quite a process. Kaylee did not end up making one of these teams. Maybe next year...

Badger Region High Performance Tryouts

Kaylee decided to tryout for Badger Region High Performance this year. The tryouts went really well and Kaylee made the training team! By making this "team", she will go to UW Green Bay in July for a three day camp, stay in the dorms and try to make the team that goes to play in Iowa later in July. There are 30 girls who will be in Green Bay and only 10 will advance to play in Iowa.

Celebrating a good tryout with some ice cream!

Power League #3 & Ashley's Birthday

Back in Illinois, of course! We were so excited to give Ashley her birthday present! When we were driving down to Indiana back in January, my Mom was working on an afghan that she was thinking about donating to the church festival. Ashley was really interested in the afghan - how long it takes to make it, etc. So, my Mom decided to give it to her for her birthday. She was so surprised and really seemed to love it!

President's Day

We were excited to go back to Illinois for the President's Day tournament. We played up in the 15's Division. We had more visitors this weekend - the Galewski's and Grandpa & Nana Jo!

We always start with the National Anthem...

Power League #2

We are back in Illinois for our 2nd weekend of Power League. Another great day of volleyball. Kaylee is really starting to feel back to normal and our girls are a 14's team and they were really holding their own against 15s and 16s!

Teachers vs 8th Graders Volleyball Game

At St Mary's, it is a tradition that the 8th graders play a volleyball game against the teachers on a Friday afternoon. "Roary" the school mascot was there and all of the students were there to cheer on their favorite team.

The Dance Team started the event!
