Labor Day @ the Lake

We spent Labor Day weekend at the Lake.  Due to the drought, the 4th of July fireworks were rescheduled for Labor Day weekend.  It was sad not to have Grandma out there, but we know she wants us to have fun out there.

A Day at the Lake

My Mom was off of work during the week, so Kaylee and Natalie and I headed out and stayed overnight.  It was a nice quiet couple days...but sad that Grandma Werner couldn't be there. Kaylee and Morgan had a lot of fun jumping off the pontoon and splashing around.

Minneapolis Trip with the Ladies...

I headed to Minneapolis for a fun weekend - it was the Creative Memories Convention (scrapbooking).  There were 8 fabulous ladies in our group. We had a blast - they sure know how to throw a party :)

YSC Summit

As a leader of a local Young Survivor Support Group, I attended a national conference in Indiana.  Amanda was so nice to make the trip with me.  We went to a minor league baseball game on Friday night, had meetings all day Saturday, then headed home on Sunday.  It was a quick trip, but we had fun.

4th of July

Due to the drought and fire ban, the fireworks were rescheduled for Sept.

Hopefully we get some rain before then, so they can set them off.

We were so sad that Grandma was not with us at the lake, but we know

she wanted us to be out there, enjoying the fun.  She is making progress

every day following her stroke.  We know she is working hard to get back home.
