GLPL #5 - The Last Weekend!

After 5 trips to Illinois for this tournament, it was finally the last weekend. The girls played well the first day, but struggled in the first match of the day on Sunday. They had pretty much taken themselves out of the running for first place, but this tournament determined final placement based on points accumulated over the 5 weekends. So, it was up to the other teams playing to determine our final placement. We won our last two matches and waited to see what happened with the other matches. When we were on the road back home, we got the text that the girls had finished in 2nd place!  It was so awesome!  They played well over the 5 weekends and really deserve the great finish!

AAU Super Regional

Kaylee's team played in the Super Regional at Center Court - finally a local tournament so family and friends could come watch! They played pretty well, finished 3rd.

Ashley had been out of practice for a week, with a
stress fracture in her ankle.This was the first time the
girls had seen her in over a week. They were so excited
to see her! They made a poster for her and brought
balloons and a treat for her. They are such a great
group of girls!
