Badger Region Championships

Kaylee's coach decided to move them up from the 12 Club Division to the 12 Open Division, to get them some better competition, to practice for Nationals.  They did awesome! They played against the Sting 12 Black team on Sunday and won in 3 games!  It was so great!  They also had to play against the Sting 12 Gold team and played really well.  They lost to them, but the 2nd game was 25-22, a lot closer than I though they would be!  They ended up taking 3rd place, playing against the top teams in the 12's Division.  They will play in their own division at Nationals (11's), so they are getting some good practice playing these tougher teams.

Check out that block!
(Well, she almost touched it...it looks awesome, though!)

Mariah's Art in Madison

Mariah was fortunate enough to have her artwork displayed at the capital building in Madison.  Her art was displayed there for the month of March and today we went to the capital for a special ceremony just for the artists and their families.

This was the piece that she had on display...it is a self-portrait that she did by writing her name over and over again, in black marker.  She wrote it bigger and smaller and thicker and thinner.  It is amazing!
